Lenovo ThinkPad X201 and X201i Notebook get WiMAX, 12hr battery life
Lenovo has introduced a couple of its ThinkPad X-series notebook that should be available in Japan mid-August 2010, called the Lenovo ThinkPad X201 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X201i. Both notebooks comes with WiMAX module, a 9-cell battery (up to 12 hours of battery life), and pre-installed with Windows 7 Professional 32bit.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X201 is a high-end laptop with sports Intel AMT (Active Management Technology). Lenovo offering the ThinkPad X201 for price tag 189,000 yen (with Office Home and Business pre-installed) and 169,000 yen (without Office software). Lenovo ThinkPad X201 notebook is boasted by a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7-620M processor, an integrated Intel graphics, 4GB of memory, Intel QM57 Express Chipset, and 500GB hard drive.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X201i is lacks Intel AMT and has price of 169,000 yen with Office application or 149,000 yen without it. The ThinkPad X201i laptop is powered by a 2.40GHz Intel Core i5-450M processor, 2GB RAM, Intel QM57 Express Chipset, and 320GB hard drive.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X201i and X201 are packs a 12.1-inch widescreen LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel, one ExpressCard/54 slot, SD/Memory Stick (PRO) card reader, 3 USB 2.0 ports, D-Sub, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, WiMAX, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Webcam, TPM security chip, fingerprint reader, and 56K modem. Size of Lenovo ThinkPad X201 and X201i is 295 x 233.8 x 20.7 ~ 35.3mm and weighs about 1.7kg.
