LenovoEMC has recently launched a new four-bay network attached server in two variants. They are LenovoEMC px4-400d in desktop tower form and LenovoEMC px4-400r in the 1U rackmount form. Both machines are identical same specifications but it’s except form and measure, of course.
Capable to backup and media-streaming center, the LenovoEMC px4-400d / px4-400r is a business NAS device that aimed at prosumers and small offices (SOHO). The Lenovo px series come in two options – diskless and pre-populated model.
LenovoEMC 4-bay px4-400d / px4-400r NAS is powered by a 2.13GHz Intel Atom D2701 processor, 1GB of Flash and 2GB of DDR3 (1333 MHz). Along with 4 drive bays, it’s also hot-swapping of drives support and volume encryption capabilities. There is a pair of GbE ports and 6 Gbps for all SATA ports. The px4-400d/px4-400r NAS has a HDMI port, four USB 2.0 ports, a single USB 3.0 port, and an eSATA. Three latter is useful for adding external drives. In additional, it is equipped with two gigabit ethernet ports and a PCIe expansion card.
The diskless LenovoEMC px4-400d and px4-400r Network Storage will price tag $729 and $1399 respectively.
