Lexar Media develops fast Crucial M225 SSD for notebook

Lexar Media announced its intention to update its line of Crucial SSD, providing 2.5-inch M225 series, designed for use in notebook. This innovation is based on multilevel cell (MLC) flash memory and is equipped with a new memory controller that has significantly increased its productivity.

Crucial M225 2.5-inch SSD will come in versions with a capacity of 64GB, 128GB, and 256 GB and it is equipped with SATA II interface. Its maximum speed of read and write data at 250 MB/s and 200 MB/s (for 256 GB model), 250 MB/s and 190 MB/s (for 128 GB model) and 200 MB/s and 150 MB/s (for 64 MB model). The official release of Crucial M225 2.5-inch SSD is scheduled for July 20th, its process is not reported.
