After launch kids-friendly tablet last year, the French company, Lexibook is now released a special device for senior citizens, the Lexibook Serenity Ultra. Designed for older people, this tablet runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with a simplified interface and controls, as well as the icons and text appear to be much larger. Moreover, the Lexibook Serenity Ultra provides custom software for people with this age spectrum such as photo album, translating languages, managing agenda, ebooks, and more.
Specs-wise, the Serenity Ultra tablet boasts a 1GHz dual-core processor and a 7.9-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. In memory term, there are 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and MicroSD card support for expansion.
Weighing 500 grams, other features are Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 0.3MP front and 2MP rear-facing cameras, MicroUSB and HDMI ports. Its 3800 mAh battery is allowing users to use the tablet for up to five hours per single full charge.
The Lexibook Serenity Ultra tablet can be purchased at price of 300 euros. Good indications, this seniors-friendly tablet has showed up at FCC and probably goes on sale in the United States.
