LG eXpo from AT&T, First 1GHz Smartphone in the United States

LG Electronics and AT&T U.S.A mobile operator has submitted its mobile phone, called LG eXpo, formerly known under the code names of Monaco and IQ.

New LG eXpo is executed in the side slider form factor, it is equipped with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2-inch external touchscreen display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels (WVGA) and 16M colors, a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, GPS receiver, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR, and a slot for microSD memory card with support up to a 16GB.

On the front panel of the AT&T LG eXpo is an exclusive “Smart Sensor” fingerprint recognition that is developed by AuthenTec.

LG eXpo phone is running on Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional OS. LG eXpo is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is supports networks GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA.

The LG eXpo handset will be compatible with AT&T’s High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) 7.2 Mbps technology. The cost of new LG eXpo will be $199.99 after mail-in rebate and at the conclusion of a two-year contract with AT&T. It is starting sale on December 7. By the way, for LG eXpo will be available LG Mobile Projector with cost is $179.99.
