LG Mobile DTV uses LG Lotus phone and portable DVD player for US market

LG Electronics today announced a new high-definition digital TV Portable DVD Player set, which is equipped with digital TV receivers “North American” standard, ATSC-M/H (Mobile DTV).
The package is including a portable DVD player, a mobile phone, and a couple of additional mobile offerings. The mobile phone is LG Lotus, which is sold in 2008 via Sprint operator. The portable DVD player is LG DP570MH. Two new LG products will be showcased at CES 2010, next January.
The new version of LG Lotus is equipped with an external antenna (removable) and the remaining features of the LG Lotus are remaining same, clamshell form factor. It is on board with a screen resolution of 240×320 pixels, 2-megapixel camera, hardware QWERTY keyboard, a slot for microSD card, etc.
The respective chip is uses LG LG2160A ATSC-M/H tuner chip, which is capable to receive mobile broadcast in good conditions and various used. The manufacture claims that Dell, Kenwood, Hyundai Kia Motors will using this technology. The LG DP570MH portable DVD player is provides around four hours of non-stop TV watching
