The one of the world’s first dual-core smartphones or known as the LG Optimus 2X smartphone is already available in Australia. The newly LG handset is now shipping from mobicity for priced at AU$799 (about US$820) unlocked.

Previously, the LG Optimus 2X smartphone has also debut the UK and the US as rebranded the T-Mobile G2X.

LG Optimus 2X smartphone packs a 4-inch WVGA display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSPA, DLNA, 8MP camera with 1080p Full HD video recording at 24fps, and HDMI.

The Optimus 2X is boasts an Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset, 8GB of on-board memory, and runs Android 2.2 OS that upgradeable to Android 2.3 in the near future.
