LG Optimus G2 upcoming flagship smartphone with Android 5.0, quad-core CPU

Following on the successor of Optimus G smartphone, LG is going prepare to unveil the LG Optimus G2 and expected as soon as May 2013. According to source, this handset will bring incredibly high-end specs as its next-gen Android flagship smartphone.

The original LG Optimus G has a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory. The Optimus G smartphone packs a 4.7-inch touchscreen True HD IPS Plus display with resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels, and a 13-megapixel camera with Smart Shutter feature. There are Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC.

Reportedly, heart of LG Optimus G2 will have a 2GHz or 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Prime (MSM8974) processor, and Adreno 320 graphics accelerator. The amount of its RAM will be ‘no less than 2GB’, while the resolution of its main camera will no less than 13MP sensor. The Optimus G2 smartphone should pack about 5-inch display with Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution.

For operating system, Optimus G2 will run Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Announcement of LG Optimus G2 will be held in the second or third quarter of 2013.
