LG has filed in United States Patent Office an application describing the “convertible computer or computer transformer, which has the functions of a laptop and Tablet PC”. The application was filed in November, it did not own clear whether LG to patent the design, since such solutions with sensory turning display is already there, for example, ASUS Eee PC T91, or Intel Classmate 3. And it is only among netbook, but there are still great notebooks and transformers. However, a decision LG has one peculiarity: the computer uses two different operating systems. It can recognition and switching to the appropriate software platform (Operating System) automatically, depending on the configuration of the device.
The application is not clearly stated whether it describes the device category netbook or large-size full-function notebook. However, as LG recently released LG X110 and LG X120 mini-computer, we can assume that the convertible model, netbook also. In all likelihood, even if based on this patent will be issued and the actual device, it will not be on sale before 2010. Interestingly, in 2007, LG has issued convertible tablet PC with 10.6 inch display, which is based on 1.2 GHz Intel Core Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce 7300 graphics.
