Lightcomm UPC801 new 8.9-inch netbook AMD Geode powered

Lightcomm Technologies introduced the new netbook, UPC801. It is created on an AMD Geode processor, slower AMD chip than latest AMD Congo processors. Lightcomm UPC801 has an 8.9-inch screen with resolution of 1024×600 pixels and a matte surface. Its storage is used SSD with 8GB capacity. The keyboard is too small for more convenient use, even for 8.9-inch netbook. Among the communication features is worth noting 2x USB port, Ethernet, VGA connector, and a card reader.

Lightcomm UPC801 processor has a clock frequency of 500 MHz. This helped, including reach 5 hours of battery operating time of 3-cell battery capacity 2800 mAh. AMD Geode is x86 compatible processor and the Lightcomm UPC801 netbook is available with Windows XP operating system. Information about the release time to market of Lightcomm UPC801 and its price is not yet available.
