Linksys WRT160NL, new famous Cisco router

Cisco this week has announced the new router based Linux. It’s Linksys WRT160NL Wireless-N Broadband Router with Storage Link. Its design is an evolution of existing WiFi-n routers from Cisco (the actual name is “Linksys by Cisco” but everything will eventually be called Cisco) that follows the trend that made the original great WRT54GL, it is run by Linux.

Cisco WRT160NL has includes Four 10/100 Ethernet ports. It also includes a USB port that lets you connect external hard drives or flash drive to share online such as share data, video, or music. It includes UPnP and DLNA 1.5 compatible media server for compatibility with other PC or game basically lets you share files between PCs with the router and a storage connected to the USB port. Linksys WRT160NL has supports WiFi 802.11 draft-N with Multiple in, Multiple Out (MIMO technology), and 802.11b/g standards are also supported. This router also supports FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS file systems.

The external antennas are detachable, which includes the majority of their new routers have internal antennas, in reality their antennas are internal, but external ones is antenna RSMA. The two words that make it great: use Linux. Linux on the router are all advantages, allows developers to create custom firmware’s and firmware can be created as the sharing your connection to a separate network. Linksys WRT160NL price is $109.99 (about €99).
