Logic Instrument has released a fully rugged handheld computer that based on Intel powered, called Logic Instruments FieldBook. It is designed for demanding applications in adverse conditions.
Logic Instruments FieldBook can be operated at temperatures ranging from -20C to +50 C, waterproof, dustproof, and withstand up to 4 feet. It is made of magnesium alloy enclosure and hard drive with G-sensor protected that provides enhanced data storage reliability. It is meets MIL-STD810G standard and Water/Dust Proof IP54 ratings.
The Logic Instruments FieldBook is boasts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM, and up to 120 GB hard drive. It has featured a 7-inch touchscreen display with resolution of WVGA (1024×600 pixels) and sunlight readable and integrated Intel GMA 500 graphics card.
Logic Instruments FieldBook rugged handheld computer is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, camera, RFID reader, Barcode scanner, ExpressCard or mini-PCI Express slots, and PCMCIA. It is running on Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7. Another feature of Logic Instruments FieldBook is dual 2500 mAh batteries with hot swappable support and enabling up to 5 hours of use.
