MacBook Pro 15 and 17 Notebook gets Calpella CPU
In additional to MacBook Pro 13 notebook, Apple also currently updates MacBook Pro 15 and 17 notebooks. Like to MacBook Pro 13, these notebook has an aluminum enclosure and runs Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard
The MacBook Pro 15-inch and 17-inch are based on Calpella platform, Core i5/i7 CPU. According to source, the new notebook will improved up to 50% overall performance than previous model.
MacBook Pro 15-inch notebook is equipped with a 256MB GeForce GT 330M GPU and Intel HD integrated graphics that switchable and reduce power consumption. This laptop is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 CPU, 4GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive.
The MacBook Pro 15-inch packs a 15.4-inch LCD display with 1440x900p resolutions and DVD drive. It has cost of 168,800 yen. The medium model with an Intel Core i5 2.53GHz, 500GB HDD has priced at 188,900 yen while top version of the 2.66GHz Core i7 CPU has cost of 208,800 yen. Dimensions of MacBook Pro 15 are 364x249x24.1mm and weighs 2.54kg.
The MacBook Pro 17-inch has specification of a 2.53GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of memory, 500GB hard drive, DVD SuperDrive, and a 17-inch LCD display with resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. This MacBook Pro has priced at 218,800 yen. Size of MacBook Pro 17-inch is 393x250x25mm and weighs 2.99kg.
Both MacBook Pro laptops are equipped with two USB 2.0 (3x for MacBook Pro 17-inch), IEEE 1394b, ExpressCard/34 slot, iSight camera, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Gigabit Ethernet, and Mini DisplayPort.
