Maingear has updated its gaming laptop, the Maingear eX-L 15, which was submitted in August last year. Now, it is adoption of Intel’s Calpella platform and also AMD’s high-end mobile GPU

The new Maingear eX-L 15 is powered by a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor but for the extra money, you can get a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 dual-core or 1.73GHz Intel Core i7 quad-core processor.

This gaming laptop packs 250GB to 750GB hard drive or up to 512GB solid state drive (SSD), DVD burner or Blu-ray/DVD combo drive, as well as 4GB/8GB of DDR3 RAM. Maingear eX-L 15 notebook has a 15.6-inch LED backlight display with resolution of 1600×900 or 1920×1080 pixels.

Maingear gaming laptop has brings a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 discrete graphics card and support for DirectX 11 API. It is equipped with 2 megapixel webcam, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, HDMI, DVI, FireWire, eSATA, and a 42.18Wh battery. This notebook is pre-loaded with choice of Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate OS.
