Japan company, Marshal presented a new external Blu-ray writer, MAL-BDP02U2. The device performed in a thin shell with dimensions 135 x 145 x 20 mm and weighs only 304 grams. The MAL-BDP02U2 External Blu-ray burner is connected to a computer via USB 2.0 (it is data and power unit) and it is equipped with a function of slot in loading mechanism.
Marshal MAL-BDP02U2 External Blu-ray writer supports the following types of optical drives: BD-R, BD-RE SL at a speed of 2x, BD-R, BD-RE DL at a speed of 1x, DVD R/-R at a speed of 8x, DVD RW/-RW at speeds of 6x, DVD-RAM at speeds of 5x, DVD R/-R DL at speed of 2.4x and CD-R, CD-RW at a speed of 8x.
This External Blu-ray writer drive is suitable for netbook and thin notebook, there is no built in optical drive. The appearance of this Marshal MAL-BDP02U2 External Blu-ray writer for sale expected in Japan shortly, and the price will be 22,800 yen (about $262).
