Samsung has just announced the release of a new clamshell phone, the Samsung Contour (SCH-R250). It is designed for subscribers of MetroPCS U.S. mobile phone operator.

The Samsung SCH-R250 Contour is an entry-level phone with a colorful and slim design. New Samsung Contour is packs a 2-inch TFT LCD display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels (QQVGA), a 1.07-inch CSTN external screen, 0.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, 55MB internal memory, and a 800 mAh battery that enabling up to 3.3 hours of talk time or 200 hours of standby time.

Samsung R250 Contour is works in CDMA 800MhMHz/PCS 1900 MHz, AWS Band 1700/2100 MHz networks. Dimensions of Samsung Contour (SCH-R250) phone are 1.7 x 0.54 x 4.2 inches and weighs 3.04 ounces. It is boasts a Qualcomm Brew platform, 1GB flash memory, and 512MB RAM. Cost of Samsung SCH-R250 Contour is about $49.
