Micromax has recently extended its Windows Phone devices portfolio, with the addition of the Micromax Canvas Win W092. Like its bigger 5-inch sibling, the new gadget is one of Micromax’s first Windows Phone smartphones. But the Canvas Win W092 is marketed as an entry-level device. Well, it will compete directly with Microsoft’s Nokia Lumia 530 smartphone.
Although target different segments of the market, the Micromax Canvas Win W092 smartphone would go on sale across India starting early July 2014 that same time when the Canvas Win W121 to launch. The phone is also support for dual SIM card slots as the most popular feature on the country.
The Canvas Win W092 packs a 4-inch capacitive touchscreen IPS display with an 800 x 480 pixels resolution. Under the hood, lies a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The phone runs the latest Microsoft mobile operating system, Windows Phone 8.1 software.
It’s got 8 gigabytes of onboard storage (actual useable space will be less) and can take a microSD card for external storage. The phone provides WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS. Power for the smartphone comes from a 1500mAh battery. Further noteworthy features 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, and 0.3MP front-facing camera.
