Microsoft: Deliver New Generation of Windows Phones on Oct. 6

Microsoft has finally announced the exact release date for Microsoft’s mobile phone software based on the new version of Windows Mobile 6.5, this is October 6. Moreover, the devices are positioned somewhat differently than their predecessors: the company calls its Windows-phones (Windows Phone). Windows Mobile 6.5 innovations has been known for almost everything: an online store application (Windows Marketplace), synchronization service (My Phone), enhanced browser (Internet Explorer Mobile) and redesigned user interface with extensive visual customization options as you like.
Microsoft will soon present a model of Windows Mobile 6.5. In North America, their operators are AT&T, Bell Mobility, Sprint, TELUS and Verizon Wireless, and suppliers such as HP, HTC, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics and Toshiba. In Europe, operators are Orange, Deutsche Telekom AG, and Vodafone; also their vendors are Acer, HTC, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Toshiba. In Latin America are TIM Brazil, HTC, LG and Samsung. Those vendors and some operators will release Windows-phones in Asia.
HTC has already announced that it’s Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 provides the updated firmware to Windows Mobile 6.5, a new model HTC Leo, obviously, immediately to be based on the new OS. Among other models, which will support Windows Mobile 6.5, obviously, will HP iPAQ K3, LG Monaco and Samsung Omnia II. Toshiba, in turn, will release a 1GHz TG02 and TG03 on the basis of a new version of Windows Mobile.
