Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000, HD-5001, and HD-6000 webcam with 720p HD sensors
Microsoft has announced three web cameras with HD capability, namely the Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000, Microsoft LifeCam HD-5001, and Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000.
All of them are equipped with autofocus lens and can video capture the 720p HD widescreen resolution (1280×720 pixels). The Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000, HD-5001, and HD-6000 cameras have features TrueColor Technology that provides excellent color reproduction and brightness of images even in worst lighting condition.
Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000 is designed for notebooks or netbook. It is allows the lens to rotate 360 degrees. Microsoft LifeCam HD-6000 will be available in May 2010 for priced at $60.
Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000 and LifeCam HD-5001 has a universal mount and allowing to place on the LCD monitors, “lid” laptops, as well as on any horizontal surfaces. The cost of these Microsoft LifeCam HD-5000 and HD-5001 webcams will not exceed $50, and their sales will begin in March 2010. Microsoft LifeCam HD-5001 will be available exclusively in Best Buy.
