Microsoft Zune HD: PMP with OLED display, HD Radio, HDMI, and Wi-Fi

Microsoft introduced a new media player portable, Zune HD. Thus, the previous question of the possible release of a Zune mobile phone, rumors of which also periodically circulate on the Internet remains open. According to Microsoft, Zune HD is the first player in the world, combining features such as HD-radio receiver, HD-video output, touchscreen OLED-display, wireless Wi-Fi and Internet browser. Besides, this is the first player from Microsoft with a touch screen, it clearly aims to compete with the iPod touch, though, and the popularity of Zune has a long way from iPod.

Zune HD supports Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace service, where users can upload to the device and the TV movies from the extensive catalog. The music can be purchased at the Zune Music Store, service offers access to more than 5 millions tracks.

The new player is equipped with a 3.3-inch capacitive touchscreen OLED display with a resolution of 480×272 pixels. You can display high-definition video in 720p format directly on the HDTV via HDMI (requires docking station, which is sold separately). In addition, Zune HD supports HD-radio receiver built thanks to the standard. Thus, the player can play music and digital radio stations with high quality sound to choose between many channels of HD Radio.

Among the possibilities Zune HD also has a full Internet browser that supports management multitouch, you can connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi. Zune HD sales in the United States will be held this autumn. Then, for the first time for the Zune, the player will come to Europe. On the cost of new Zune HD not yet reported.
