Mobinnova Beam Smartbook debuts early next year

Official presentation Mobinnova smartbook will be held early next year. Previous, it is first demonstrated at the Computex Taipei June 2009. Mobinnova Beam Smartbook was previously known under the code name of Elan. Smartbook understands the mini-computers, which are midway between the traditional smartphone and netbook.

Mobinnova Smartbook is called Beam (previously is Elan), it is based on the nVidia Tegra, which brings together the ARM core, image processor, audio processor, graphics controller with ultra low-power processor for video processing. The Mobinnova Beam Smartbook has brings 8.9-inch display and an integrated 3G module to work in mobile networks, it will operate under the operating system, Windows CE.

It is noted that the battery charge is enough to work smartbook within 5-10 hours of playing 720p HD video format. For listening to music, its battery life does will reach 24 hours. Its weight is less than 900g. It is expected that Mobinnova Beam Smartbook debuts at the CES 2010 (Consumer Electronics Show), held in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) from 7 to 10 January 2010.
