Motorola has decided to release an updated version of its Linux smartphone, MING A1200, which it was released in 2006 and became quite popular, especially in the Chinese market. The innovation device is the name of Motorola A1200R, it is announced in Argentina. Probably the smartphone will be released in several countries in Latin America, it is not clear whether the units in other regions. By appearance, Motorola A1200R hardly differs from predecessor: the same as touch screen and translucent lid.

Basic characteristics of the device, remained the same is the touch screen with a resolution of QVGA, 2 MP camera, slot for microSD memory card, FM tuner interface and support for Bluetooth. However, there are several new features. These include, for example, support for widgets: widgets preinstalled weather, news, currency, and measurement converter, and the remaining users can download and install it. Also an opportunity to edit document in Microsoft Office format and business card scanner on the basis of OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
