Motorola and Sprint US cellular operator announced new rugged clam shell mobile phone, Motorola Brute i680. This phone is ideal phone for anyone who will encounter extreme conditions.

The Sprint Motorola Brute i680 is designed to work in iDEN network (800/900 MHz), supports a number of services to technology-based push-to-talk, which are available under the brand name, Nextel Direct Connect.

Motorola Brute i680 is illuminated bullet proof in the case of durable plastic and rubber, corresponding to Military Specification 810F (MIL-STD 810F) certified for dust, shock, vibration, low & high temperatures, low pressure, radiation, salt fog, humidity and blowing rain.

The Motorola Brute i680 phone is equipped with 2.2-inch screen with a resolution of 176×220 pixels, an external 1.3-inch display with a resolution of 120×160 pixels, 2 megapixel camera with flash, GPS, Bluetooth, music player, 180 MB of memory and a slot for memory card. The battery of Motorola Brute i680 has a capacity of 1750 mAh.

Dimensions of Motorola Brute i680 are 53×99.5×26 mm and weight is 159.5g. Cost of Motorola Brute i680 phone is $120 with a two-year contract.
