Motorola Defy+ IP67-certified Gingerbread smartphone gets official

Motorola has official announced its latest rugged Android smartphone, the Motorola Defy+. The handset is IP67 certified that dust proof and water resistant. The Defy+ is also a successor to their rugged smartphone that known as the Motorola Defy (of course, without ‘plus’ sign).

Motorola Defy+ Specifications

Runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread OS, the Motorola Defy+ durable smartphone is sports a 1GHz OMAP 3620 Texas Instruments processor (instead 800MHz OMAP 3610 CPU), and a 1,700 mAh battery that larger from old 1540mAh.

Motorola Defy+ rugged Gingerbread smartphone packs a 3.7-inch touchscreen Gorilla Glass enhanced display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, 5MP autofocus camera, Motoblur UI, 2GB of on-board memory, and a microSD card slot expansion support up to 32GB.

There are HSDPA, FM radio, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, a micro USB 2.0, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth. The 1700mAh battery is enabling up to 7.1 hours of talk-time, 16 days of standby.

Motorola Defy+ Availability

Reportedly, the Motorola Defy+ is scheduled go on sale in ‘early fall’ in Europe, Asia and Latin America. But its price didn’t mention yet.
