Motorola has just officially introduced its new high-end smartphone, the Motorola Droid 2 GLOBAL, which was starts selling in U.S. market over Verizon Wireless yesterday.

The Motorola Droid 2 Global smartphone is runs Android 2.2 Froyo OS and powered by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP3630-1200 processor. As noted, the Motorola Droid 2 smartphone is just a 1GHz TI OMAP3620-1000 processor. In addition, Motorola Droid 2 Global has slightly more powerful battery with 1420 mAh (instead 1400 mAh). Its battery is enabling up to 8.3 hours of talk time, 230 hours of standby time.

Motorola Droid 2 GLOBAL is works in CDMA EV-DO Rev. A 800/1900 MHz, GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100 MHz cellular networks, which provides a “global” network.

The Motorola Droid 2 GLOBAL smartphone is equipped with a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash and video recording (maximum video resolution of 480 x 720 pixels), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, DLNA supported, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, GPS, 8GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot with up to 32GB (a 8GB card included) and QWERTY keyboard.

Motorola Droid 2 GLOBAL smartphone is provides a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 854 pixel (FWVGA), and 3G Mobile Hotspot capabilities that capable sharing for up to five WiFi-enabled devices.

Dimensions of Motorola Droid 2 Global are 60.5 x 116.3 x 13.7 mm and weight 169g.
