Motorola Droid, its million device target

Motorola and Verizon Wireless North American operator have far sold between 700,000 and 800,000 Motorola Droid, said Mark Sue, an analyst of RBC Capital Markets. According to Mr. Sue, Droid marketing campaign had spent about $100 million, Verizon Wireless stores is sold over 100 to 200 Motorola Droid units per week.
Until the end of the year, Motorola promises to implement at least a million Droid. In all, it is planned to sell about 1.5 million Motorola’s other Android devices, which means that the Motorola Milestone (European version of Droid), Motorola Cliq and Dext is as good as the Droid.
Recall that the Motorola Droid is made in the side slider form factor. It is equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 480×854 pixel, 5.0 megapixel camera, slot for microSD memory card with up to 32GB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g.
