Motorola has introduced its enterprise handset, the Motorola MC55A0 series. The handset is a rugged Wi-Fi business device that comes in two models – Motorola MC55A0 and Motorola M55A0-HC. The first is targeting for customer-facing business apps, while the M55A0-HC is ideal for healthcare. It is mid-range Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) that gets faster and tougher, and adds some new features.

According to manufacture, the Motorola MC55A0 series are offers the managers and task workers everything they need to take instant action, anywhere in their facility. Motorola MC55A0 rugged enterprise mobile computer is allows workers access business applications, snap a photo, scan bar codes, view a video and place a private or push-to-talk call to virtually anyone in their facility. The handset has meets government grade FIPS 140-2 security keeps user’s most sensitive data safe and secure.

The Motorola MC55A0-HC is available in white and blue flavors, and is disinfectant-ready. Both Motorola devices are support data and voice over WLAN, and has brings a 3.5-inch PenTile VGA display, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1, and encryption protocols for Virtual Private Networks (VPN). Motorola MC55A0 series is powered by an 806MHz Marvell PXA320 chip, 1GB Flash memory, and 256MB of RAM.

Dimensions of Motorola MC55A0 are 5.8 x 3.0 x 1.06 inches (WxHxD) and weight 11.1 oz (with 2,400mAh battery).
