Motorola MC9500 Industrial PDA, Future of Mobile Computing
Motorola has introduced industrial mobile computing device, MC9500. It runs under Windows Mobile 6.1 OS and is available in versions with Classic (CPC) and Professional (communicator) platform. The device is designed for staff working in the field of transport, logistics, supply, maintenance and safety. Motorola MC9500 is a monoblock with a numeric keypad, and, a block key is narrower than the upper part of the display. The device is enclosed in a solid body, which can withstand a fall on the cement floor with 1.8 meters, is dustproof and waterproof with a short-term immersion to a depth (IP67 standard). Motorola MC9500 can operate at temperatures from -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the possibility of this model is good enough for industrial PDAs with rugged device. The cost of new products the company did not report, but it is likely to be far from the budget.
