Mozilla prepare to launch Firefox OS-based phone, Alcatel One Touch Fire [video]

Alongside ZTE Open phone, Mozilla has also announced availability of the Alcatel One Touch Fire smartphone. This Alcatel phone will be available at Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica soon. There is no word on exactly release date of the Alcatel One Touch Fire on market. But, this phone is expected arrive in Latin America and Europe ‘this summer’.

It is previously known as the Alcatel’s One Touch Firefox OS smartphone that initial spotted back in February and approved by FCC this month. Like another Firefox OS-powered phone, new Alcatel One Touch Fire is an entry-level phone and should be also low price too. The One Touch Fire brings a 3.5-inch touchscreen HVGA (320 x 480) display, stereo FM radio, and a 1,400 mAh Lithium battery. Inside, this phone boasts a 1GHz single-core Qualcomm MSM7227A processor paired with 256MB of RAM and 512MB NAND memory.

Alcatel One Touch Fire smartphone gets 3.2MP rear-facing camera, a MicroSD card slot (up to 32GB), HSDPA, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Customers will able to choose the color of phone in three flavors – orange, green, and white. Dimensions of this Firefox phone are 115 mm in length, 62.3mm in width, and 12.2mm in height. This phone has weight about 108 grams.
