MSI CX640 and CR640 Sandy Bridge-based Notebooks, Official

Two new Sandy Bridge-based laptops today introduced by MSI that designed for multimedia notebooks. These Intel Huron River laptops are called the MSI CX640 and the MSI CR640.

Both notebooks have a smooth metallic brush finish with a crystal diamond finish touchpad and a thermal block structural design for keeps the palm rest areas maintain a temperature. It has also a pretty Start power button, like the F1 racecar.

The MSI CR640 notebook is used Intel integrated graphics, while the MSI CX640 laptop pack a 1GB GeForce GT 520M discrete graphics cards.

Both MSI CX640 and CR640 mobile machines are sports a 15.6-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixel, a DVD burner, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, stereo speakers paired with SRS PC Sound, a card reader, a HDMI output, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam.

It is optional Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 3.0 port. The MSI CX640 and CR640 laptops are boasted by a 2nd generation Intel Core processor, a 320GB/500GB/640GB hard drive, up to 8GB of RAM, and a 6-cell or 8-cell battery. These MSI Sandy Bridge-based laptops are pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS and Time Stamp backup and restore software.

Dimensions of MSI CX640 / CR640 are 380 x 260 x 27.1 ~ 34 mm and weight less 2.6KG (with 6-cell battery). The MSI CX640 notebook is currently available in two configurations with price of €599 and €649 (with GT 520M).
