MSI Tablet uses nVidia Tegra platform

Micro-Star International (MSI) will release its first Tablet PC, said Sales Director of MSI Sambora Chen.

According to Mr. Chen, MSI tablet will basis of nVidia Tegra platform. Apparently, it is Tegra second generation, the main component is a Cortex A9 ARM dual-core processor at up to 1GHz.

The MSI tablet will be support high-definition video and its battery life could theoretically reach 16 hours.

According to MSI, the MSI tablet will receive a 10-inch touchscreen display and support of advanced wireless technologies. The device is thin, light, but the functionality “it can be compared with traditional netbooks“.

Mr. Chan added that the announcement of the MSI tablet is scheduled for the second half of 2010. It is expected price of $500 (Incidentally, almost same price of Apple iPad offering, which is presented yesterday).
