MSI WindPad 100W Tablet makes official

Taiwanese company, MSI has just officially released their tablet, the MSI WindPad 100W, which was shown at CES 2011 (January 6-9, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA).

The MSI WindPad 100W tablet has a 10.1-inch multipoint touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 resolution and runs Windows 7 Home Premium OS with Taskbar magnifier that a unique status/taskbar magnifier to make controlling various functions with your finger easier, Easy Face that face recognition software with 1.3MP webcam which is using biometric technology to provide impregnable data security. In additional, it has also the Wind Touch UI with four sections – Work, Entertainment, Tools, and Network.

MSI WindPad 100W tablet is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z530 (Intel Menlow Platform), 2GB DDR2 RAM, and 32GB solid state drive (SSD). The 100W Slate is packs accelerometer, light sensor, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB port, and Mini HDMI. At the rear, there is a second camera, but no specify its resolution. Its battery is providing up to 6 hours of use.

Dimensions of MSI WindPad 100W are 274 x 173 x 18.5 mm and weight about 800 grams (with battery). Costs of MSI WindPad 100W tablet is about 600 euros.
