MSI X-Slim X340, X-Slim X600, and Wind U120 WiMAX capable

MSI has announced a notebook series that support the WiMAX technology.

They are MSI X-Slim X340 and X-Slim X600 notebooks, as well as the MSI Wind U120 netbook.

All models have passed the international certification of WiMAX Forum. According to the manufacturer, MSI X-Slim X340 is world’s first Taiwan-based notebook which received WiMAX Forum Certification.

New MSI X-Slim X340, X-Slim X600, and Wind U120 will be on show at the exhibit opens today, Broadband Taiwan 2009. Information about the timing of new models to market is not yet reported.

MSI R&D, Taiwan Broadband Indicate Future Trends
MSI’s innovative R&D once again enjoys the spotlight. The ultra-thin X-Slim Series, following the release of the X340, has also received International WiMAX Forum Certification for its X600 model.
The X-Slim X340 was the world’s first Taiwan-based notebook to receive WiMAX Forum Certification. Furthermore, MSI will be the sole participating Taiwan-based notebook computer brand at Broadband Taiwan 2009.
