MX-DS Series 2.5-inch SSDs from Mach Xtreme Technology
Taiwan-based company, MX-Technology (Mach Xtreme Technology) has announced their new 2.5-inch solid state drive (SSD), called MX-DS series. This MX-DS series SSDs are provides reach transfer speed up to 250MB/s read and 230MB/s write.
Mach Xtreme MX-DS series SSDs are based on MLC (multi-level cell) NAND flash memory and made of SandForce SF1222 controller. It is equipped with SATA II interface and comes in four model capacities, including 50GB (MXSSD2MDS-50G), 100GB (MXSSD2MDS-100G), 200GB (MXSSD2MDS-200G) and 400GB (MXSSD2MDS-400G). The Mach Xtreme MX-DS series SSDs have features 1.5 million hours MTBF, power consumption of 0.5W in idle and 2.3W in active.
According to manufacture, this SSD is delivers an enhanced computing experience, which is offers much faster application loading, shorter boot-ups, ultra-fast data access, and longer battery life. There is no word on release date and pricing.
