NEC has introduced their wireless router LAN in its home market of Japan, namely NEC AtermWR8700N. It is supports 802.11n/a/b/g compliant, up to 180Mbps transfer, and 2.4GHz/5GHz band.

NEC AtermWR8700N wireless router is equipped with a USB port on the rear body that is possible as LAN sharing on connect external HDD or flash drive. NEC AtermWR8700N wireless LAN router also supports streaming TV with multicast communication in “TV mode”. This NEC AtermWR8700N wireless LAN router offers securely with WEP, WPA/WPA2 (AES/TKIP) support, 64/128/152 bit encrypted and Multi SSID feature.

NEC AtermWR8700N also has ECO mode feature that allows setting of work schedule and reduce 59% energy consumption. It comes with one WAN port (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T) and four LAN port (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T).
Dimensions of NEC AtermWR8700N wireless router are 35x128x160 mm (width x depth x height) and weighs about 400g.
