Neo FreeRunner based on Android 1.5: beta version

Koolu told that in two weeks will begin delivery of beta versions for Neo FreeRunner Android 1.5 Cupcake OS. Remember, Neo FreeRunner initially used the free software Openmoko Linux. The FreeRunner model is running Android called GTA02, presumably by design, it is identical to the previous model and it is a single oval-shaped with a touch screen and no hardware keyboard. In an interview at the Cloud Expo Europe conference, one of the top managers Koolu Jon Hall said that GTA02 will focus on small and medium businesses, as well as developing countries. Phone will be sold on the international market.

It is expected that the characteristics of Neo FreeRunner GTA02, basically the same as that of the predecessor: cellular 2G, 2.8-inch touchscreen display with a VGA resolution, support for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, GPS receiver, accelerometer and a slot for microSD card. OpenMoko’s FreeRunner to Android Cupcake early assembly shown at this year’s CES. And now, apparently, it’s almost finished the final version of the device. On the price of information is yet.
