March 11th, 2009 | Filed under Computer 0 Comments

One of the drawbacks of the HDMI inputs is the little path that may have their cables, the losses are quite large if we use a long cable, though the market is already beginning to see alternatives to solve this problem.

One of them comes with Gefen and NeoThings LightSpider is called, is a device capable of sending HDMI signal or  RS-232 to a maximum of about 91 meters (about 300 feet) away. To achieve this are based on a fiber optic cable and Digital Light Interface Technology. That’s support for HDCP for protected material.

Surely, it’s a good alternative for those who need to bring your high-definition output from a player who is not very close to the screen. For now, we want know the price and availability.
