Nepal Telecom covers Mount Everest with GSM/CDMA

If you’re thinking of traveling to go to Mount Everest and you cannot walk away from your mobile might be interested in this news, because now you will not notice your signal because the Nepal Telecoms allow communication on the mountain.

The company, which owns 60% of Nepal mobile communications, announced that it will install satellite communication in the Everest.

Athletes who could decide to climb up to now communicate seamlessly with satellite phones, but these devices are not exactly easy to transport and much less easy to buy (because they are really expensive). Now the new satellite will allow climbers to talk to devices across GSM/CDMA.
