NETGEAR ReadyNAS 2100, NAS with 1U 4-bay storage system

NETGEAR decided to expand its line of network storage ReadyNAS series. Novelty is called ReadyNAS 2100 and the ReadyNAS 2100 is a device in the form factor of 1U, equipped with four compartments for hard drives (4-bay).
ReadyNAS 2100 is designed primarily for use in business structures and provides ample opportunities for safe sharing, storage and protection against theft of critical information. It can access to files through the LAN and WAN interfaces. The device is equipped with a robust enterprise-grade hard drive with the function of protection from crashes and error correction, Error Correction Code RAM technology.
ReadyNAS 2100 includes a rapid system board module of X-CHANGE, which are actually the motherboard, power supply and fan cooling system. The module has a height of about 30 cm, and it can reduce the space occupied by the system. In addition, ReadyNAS 2100 is working on its RAIDiator operating system and supports Apple Filing Protocol (AFP), which ensures compatibility with Time Machine backup feature in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. A ReadyNAS Remote function allows users to easily move files (drag and drop files) between remote computers via a secure connection.
ReadyNAS 2100 Network storage supports working with Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Model with a capacity of 2TB and 4TB will be presented in early June at a price of $1900. Version with a capacity of 8 TB appears to the end of the year.
