ASUS released a children’s netbook under the brand Disney, it was named Netpal. The model is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years, fans of Disney cartoons. Netpal netbook equipped with an 8.9-inch display, based on the Intel Atom processor and runs under Windows XP, you can choose two colors Princess Pink and Magic Blue. Moreover, in addition to the base operating system, Netpal supports the “child” interface with a lot of themes from popular cartoons: Mickey Mouse, Cars, Toy Story, and Wall-E. Children’s netbook also supports parental control of internet access and electronic correspondence of children.
ASUS Netpal offered in two versions with different storage 16 GB SSD and 160 GB hard drive. Perhaps, for use by children is more suitable option with solid-state drive because this netbook is not immune to sudden movements or even falls. The device supports streaming music, Radio Disney and other widgets, as well as wireless Wi-Fi. Weight netbook is about 1 kg. Netpal will be sold in Toys R’Us and Amazon.com for $350.
