New HP Mini 5102, 210, and 2102 netbooks gets officially
HP today has officially announced three new Mini family netbooks, which are based on Intel Pine Trail platform. They are HP Mini 5102, HP Mini 210, and HP Mini 2102 netbooks.
HP Mini 5102 netbook is business/education machines. It has an anodized-aluminum display enclosure and a 95% sized keyboard.
New HP Mini 5102 will be available later of this month with starting price of $399.
HP Mini 210 is called third-generation consumer netbook.
HP Mini 210 comes with a glossy lid and a bezel around the edge of a matte display. The HP Mini 210 is preinstalled with Windows XP Home. HP Mini 210 netbook has starting cost of $299.
HP Mini 2102 netbook is a business-oriented netbook. The HP Mini 2102 has a matte lid, covered with a piece of glass, and a chiclet-style keyboard. It is preloaded with Windows 7 Starter OS. HP Mini 2102 netbook is start priced at $329. HP Mini 210 and 2102 netbooks will be arriving tomorrow.
HP Mini 5102, 210, and 2102 netbooks have features a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels (HP Mini 5102 has a touchscreen option), a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 or 1.83GHz Intel Atom N470 CPU, 1GB of RAM (up to 2GB), Mobile Intel NM10 chipset with integrated GMA 3150 graphics, 160GB hard drive (HP Mini 2102 has option with 160GB/250GB/320GB 7200RPM HDD), and optional Broadcom Crystal HD (solution for smooth 1080p video playback).
Three new HP Mini netbooks are equipped with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Ethernet, three USB ports, VGA, 5-in-1 card reader, combo mic/headphone jack, and optional Bluetooth, 3G. Dimensions are 10.55x7x0.9 inches (at front) and weight is 2.69 pounds (with 3 cell battery).
HP is offers Windows XP Home, Windows 7 Starter, SUSE Linux Enterprise 11, or FreeDOS operating system options.
