Nikon, the famous photography equipment manufacturer, has officially announced its new Coolpix S-series compact camera, namely the Nikon Coolpix S9500. As multi-functional, this camera brings several capabilities such as high-power zoom, Wi-Fi connectivity, and more.
The Coolpix S9500 point-and-shoot camera boasts a 1/2.3-inch 18.1-megapixel backside illumination CMOS sensor with 25-550mm wide-range NIKKOR lens (equivalent to 35mm format). It is able to 22x optical zoom lens and provides a lens-shift vibration reduction (VR) along with digital image stabilizer.
Nikon Coolpix S9500 brings GPS, a 3-inch OLED display with wide viewing angle, and a SD card slot. This camera supports 1080p video recording (1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second) with stereo sound. It is also allows users to pause and resume video recording to create a single movie, with optical zoom and autofocus.
Furthermore, the Nikon S9500 has sensitivity range of ISO 125-1600. Weighing about 205 grams, it is measuring 110.1 x 60.3 x 30.7 mm.
Available in black, brown, red, and silver color options, the Nikon Coolpix S9500 compact camera is expected retail price of $349.95. The company has also unveiled a sibling of S9500, which called the Nikon Coolpix S9400. It will arrive in three colors only (black, white and red). Price of the Coolpix S9400 camera is $299.95.
