Nikon D3S Professional SLR camera
Nikon has announced the launch of a new professional SLR, Nikon D3S. It is created on the basis of well-known model of Nikon D3, novelty provides a new level of photography in low light and offers new creative possibilities of multimedia video. It is focused on professional users.
Nikon D3S Professional SLR camera is equipped with a fully processed CMOS sensor FX format with a resolution of 12.1 million effective pixels. Manufacture note that due to the large step between pixels with a modified internal structure of the camera is capable of making acceptable pictures in extremely low light. The range of sensitivity is from 200 to 12 800 units of ISO, shutter speed range from 1/8000 to 30 seconds.
Nikon D3S is applied EXPEED image processing system with 14-bit analog-digital conversion and AF system with 51-point focusing of high-density and 15 sensitive points of intersection. In addition, the camera includes new technology for cleaning of the matrix, creating a vibration on the four frequencies to reduce the influence of static dust on the optical infrared filter.
The Nikon D3S camera can record videos in 720p at 24 frames per second. It has a sequence mode with a frequency of 9 frames per second (11 – in the mode of framing DX). It can also mention the function of “silent gate” through which substantially reduces the noise from the machinery back mirror, this mode is useful when photographing wildlife.
Among other things, it is provide $3-inch display, a system of “Active D-Lighting”, designed to improve detail in dark or too bright areas of the image, the function of sight on the Live View screen, HDMI interface and a slot for CompactFlash memory card. It also has video output HDMI, NTSC or PAL, Interface USB, stereo mini-jack (diameter 3.5 mm). Dimensions of Nikon D3S are 160x157x88 mm and weight is 1.24kg (without battery, memory card, body cap and shoe cover for accessories).
Nikon D3S dSLR camera will be available in end of November for estimated price of $5200 (price for the U.S.).
