Nintendo Switch game console/tablet hybrid revealed official price, release date

Already introduced back in October, Nintendo is now officially announcing the pricing and availability for its upcoming game console at an event. It is called the Nintendo Switch game console/tablet hybrid, which will be released in Japan, U.S., Canada and major European countries on March 3rd, 2017. Talking on price, its Switch game console will set at MSRP of $299.99 that including Nintendo Switch Console, Dock, DockJoy-Cons (Left and Right), Joy-Con Wrist Straps, Joy-Con Grip, HDMI Cable and an AC Adapter. There are Gray and Neon Blue and Neon Red color options.

Just reminder, the device comes with two detachable, one-handed controllers that and a Switch Dock for connecting it to TV. Reportedly, each of the JoyCon controllers comes with motion sensors and force feedback. One of the controllers provide a button dedicated to capturing screenshots to share on social media. Thus, the video capture is coming in the future. The controller has also an IR camera for sensing the motion of a player’s hand.

On Switch games, you will be found cartridges that known as game cards. Unfortunately, this cartridge slot is incompatible with Nintendo 3DS cartridges. Users can buy digital versions of games from Nintendo eShop through their Nintendo Switch system or from the Nintendo website.

The specs of tablet has a 6.2-inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It packs 32GB of internal storage and support for microSDXC card, in case, you need a removable storage.

Nintendo Switch carries an ambient light sensor for auto brightness adjustment. Users can easily link up to eight systems together to play anywhere or play online with other Nintendo Switch gamers.

In terms of games, there are Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (March 3rd), Super Mario Odyssey, a new Mario adventure (the 2017 holiday season), Splatoon 2 (this summer) multiplayer paint-splattering shooter game, 1, 2, Switch, a package of multiplayer motion-control mini-games (March 3) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (which is an updated version of the Wii U game and coming in April).
