Feature phone market will be the arrival of two new Nokia handsets. Microsoft just rolled out the 2.8-inch aluminum Nokia 230 and 230 Dual SIM phones. The company is taking the space seriously: this handset provides front-facing flash, a trifecta of aluminum build (instead of plastic), and an affordable price.
So, the Nokia 230 and 230 Dual SIM could be a selfie-focused feature phone. As premium looks, this phone brings a polycarbonate frame and sand-blasted aluminum back cover. Weighing just 91.8 grams, this phone measures 10.9mm thick. Both have identical specs except their SIM card slot, the Dual SIM model packs two card bays.
The Nokia 230 and 230 Dual SIM have a 2.8-inch QVGA LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. It is pre-installed Opera Mini browser, Bing Search, and MSN Weather. Microsoft’s phone provides FM Radio and Bluetooth 3.0 with Slam sharing feature. There is also a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera with LED flash also. It is able to capturing 1600 x 1200 pixel images and videos at 240p/15fps. For selfie part, its front-facing 2MP shooter with flash is capable to capture higher-res VGA videos (640 x 480 pixels).
Like recently phone, owners of Nokia 230 or/and Nokia 230 Dual SIM can download one free Gameloft game every month for a year. That’s including Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and Midnight Pool. It is utilized a microUSB port for charging.
This phone supports dual-band 900MHz/1800MHz GSM network. Dimensions of Nokia 230 are 124.6 x 53.4 x 10.9mm. Its 1,200mAh battery can juice the single-SIM model for up to 27 days of standby, while Nokia 230 Dual SIM is good for 22 days. The phone has a microSD card slot for storage and support for 32GB of capacity.
Microsoft will start sell it sometime in December. Available in black and white colors, the phone will price of about $55 USD without taxes.
