Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition
Nokia announced the freshly touchscreen smartphone, the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition. As the name implies, the device is based on the model of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition has a 2-year license for the navigation with voice prompts in the regimes of the automotive and pedestrian navigation, quick access to the latest version of Maps, Ovi, maps of regions and simple scaling function.
The latest version of the Ovi map differentiates a number of new features and functions: high-resolution satellite images, 3D orientations for more than 200 cities, maps, weather, travel first-class content and activities, as well as information about traffic and security. Extended information on attractions and other objects on the Ovi maps are provided with the support of Lonely Planet, Michelin and Wcities. Navigation license has pre-installed and ready to use on the device, in addition, it comes with a Nokia car kit and an in-box car charger.
Among the features of Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition phone include 3.2-inch touchscreen display, stereo speakers with support for surround sound, and an opportunity to work in playback mode , fast connection to the Internet for HSDPA technology, 3.2-megapixel camera with optics from Carl Zeiss.
Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition presumably will go on sale in the third quarter of 2009 at an estimated retail price of 285 Euros excluding discounts and taxes.
