Nokia and AT&T intros new Surge Phone

Nokia and AT&T U.S. mobile operator today officially submitted a Surge phone. Previously, this unit is known as code-named Mako.

Nokia Surge is running Symbian OS version 9.3 (Platform for S60 Third Edition Feature Pack 2). It is made in the Sidebar slider form and is equipped with sliding QWERTY keyboard. This phone has not the usual numeric keypad, while its display (diagonal 2.4-inch with resolution of 320×240 pixels) is not a touchscreen. Therefore, the typing can be only when the device is keyboard opened condition.

Nokia Surge is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, 128 MB of internal memory, slot for microSD memory up to 8GB, 2.5-mm headphones jack, FM tuner, GPS receiver, and the battery capacity of 1,500 mAh.

Nokia Surge Smartphone supports AT&T service but also allows working with other service such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr with the help of pre-installed JuiceCaster applications.

This phone has working in networks GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900 MHz 3.6 Mbps.
