Alongside DC-18 external charger, Nokia has also official introduced its new sub-$100 smartphone, the Nokia Asha 501. Coming with a brand new Asha mobile platform, this phone will hits the shelves starting next month (June 2013) around the world market and asking price of just $99.


Interestingly, the Nokia cheap Asha 501 smartphone is offers choice of two main UI screens – Home and Fastlane. Like we had look at previous Nokia phone, Home theme is actually classic icon-based screen. Claimed give a glimpse of past, present and future activity, the Fastlane delivers recent contacts, used apps, and of course, social networking.

Supposed high-end design looks, the Asha 501 has a removable back casing. It has a full-touch 3-inch QVGA scratch-resistant display, 3.2MP rear-facing camera, and a 1,200 mAh battery. In connectivity term, new Nokia Asha 501 phone features Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Micro USB, and 3.5mm headset jack. It measures 99.2 x 58 x 12.1 mm and weighs 98 grams. The Finland Company has also mention that the Asha 501 will be available in two versions – single SIM and dual SIM. There are six flavors on this phone (black, blue, green, red, white and yellow).
