Nokia Asha 501 cheapest touchscreen phone debuts worldwide this week
Already official introduced early last month, the Nokia Asha 501 would start shipping this week. The Finnish company, Nokia has confirmed that both single- and dual-SIM variants of the small Asha 501 available in some Asian markets. In Pakistan and Thailand, this handset will be hits shelves for purchase in the next few days, while customers in India will be able to get it after that.
Company has also mention that Nokia Asha 501 will debuts next week in other Asian markets, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Folks in Latin America should be able to buy the Asha 501 phone in late summer. Speaking about price, the Nokia Asha 501 is listed for $99.99. You’ll find the handset in a range of colors – black, bright red, bright green, cyan, yellow, and white.
This phone is actually Nokia’s latest Asha handset and one of the cheapest phones with touchscreen capabilities in this year. The small Asha 501 phone features a 3-inch touch QVGA display, a 3.2MP rear-facing camera, and 1,200 mAh battery. Nokia Asha 501 brings Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, FM radio, and a microSD card slot (a 4GB card included). It is lack 3G connectivity.
On software side, new phone brings Asha Touch user interface (with two main screens – Home and Fastlane), and Nokia XpressBrowser. There are accessory for this phone include an interchangeable back cover, and Nokia Stereo Headset WH-208.
