In the UK, Vodafone has just released two interesting smartphones, the Nokia C7 and the HTC Desire Z. Vodafone UK offers the Nokia C7 for free on £25 (about $38) per month for 2-year contract or pay for phone £100 upfront with £20 per month. While the HTC Desire Z smartphone is also free on a £35/month two-year contract.

As specs, the Nokia C7 is use of the new Symbian^3 OS and packs a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 640 x 360 pixel, an 8MP autofocus camera with 720p HD video recording (@25fps) capabilities, an 8GB of onboard memory, 390MB of RAM, a slot for microSD/SDHC card (up to 32GB), and FM radio.

The HTC Desire Z is the one of high-end Android smartphone and boasts an 800MHz Qualcomm 7230 processor. HTC Desire Z smartphone packs a 3.7-inch display with 480 x 800 resolutions, a full slide-side QWERTY keyboard, and a 5 megapixel autofocus camera.
